SKIP Newcastle
SKIP Newcastle run a project in the rural village of Chutteal in Cambodia.
About the branch:
SKIP Newcastle run a project in Cambodia for 8 weeks each year, teaching children aged 8-14 years about health, sex education and mental health. Two waves of students go to Cambodia for a month to teach in 9 schools. Research is also carried out each year to identify ways in which the SKIP branch can further help the community – this is what led to the mental health teaching being implemented. Throughout the year, SKIP Newcastle run fundraising events, including a 10K run, regular bake sales and an acoustic night.
