Collaborate with us!
We are seeking partnerships for the next stage of our Mental Health Programme.
The goal of SKIP's Mental Health Program is to improve people's resilience and overall well-being, with a focus on youth and young adults. Our primary goal is to develop solutions that have a major positive impact on the lives of the people we serve.
Programme Aim:
This programme aims to improve and maintain mental health in children and young people, regardless of ethnicity, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
It aims to do this through projects which target specific areas of mental health in children and young people, including but not limited to: health education, awareness of mental illness, social interventions and advocacy. This may involve working with parents, teachers and other members of the child’s care network.
This programme acknowledges that many of the factors impacting mental health in children and young people are associated with broader society, including but not limited to: personal safety, access to education, climate change and nutrition.
Community-Based Interventions:
Our approach involves designing evidence-based interventions that can be implemented in classroom or community group settings. These interventions are adaptable based on the partner's needs and context, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in diverse educational environments.
Collaborative Opportunities:
We extend an invitation to partners to work with us in the planning, carrying out, and assessment of these activities. We can have the greatest possible influence on the community if we pool our resources and knowledge. This could consist of:
Co-producing resources and materials for interventions.
Offering suggestions for the creation of curricula and methods of implementation.
Taking part in workshops or training events for teachers and students.
Supporting the assessment and evaluation of the efficacy of interventions.
Potential Impact:
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults in our community. By promoting mental health and wellbeing, we can:
Reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
Empower individuals to seek help and support when needed.
Improve emotional resilience and coping skills.
Enhance the overall quality of life and social functioning.
