Whether you are a student at one our branch universities, or even if you’re not, we’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to get involved in our projects!

Volunteering is an amazing experience. SKIP offers the chance for you to make an impact on the lives of some of the poorest and most vulnerable children in world. Spending time on project in the summer will be hard work and activities will be very dependent on what work your branch of SKIP does. Take a look at our projects to find out what you could be involved with.

Volunteering for SKIP is about much more than just going abroad though! Throughout the year you branches fundraise through various events, develop their project for the summer ahead, organise volunteer training and attend our brilliant national events! And all the while you’ll get to know like-minded people and have a fantastic time!

SKIP does not charge volunteers to join their projects, but volunteers are required to fund their own travel and living expense when on project. Volunteers will be asked to pay membership and volunteer fees which fund charity liability insurance and criminal record checks for volunteers. All money raised during the year as a branch goes directly to fund interventions on project

“Joining SKIP has given me so much more than I ever wanted! I signed up to have an amazing time in Madagascar doing a bit of good as a volunteer, what I’ve ended up is having the time of my life both on and off project! I’ve gained so much more confidence and feel like I could put my mind to anything. I’ve made so many friends, learnt so many skills and have gained some of the best memories I could ever dream of!”
