Every branch is responsible for recruiting their own committee members. There are different roles available at each branch – examples of roles include project co-ordinator, treasurer, secretary, publicity, fundraising, welfare, research & development and training.
Branch application processes vary but often include an application form and interview stage. You do not need to have been a SKIP volunteer nor do you need any experience in the role, as we will provide all the training needed. However, it is essential that you have lots of enthusiasm and boundless SKIP energy.
Being on a branch committee is a fantastic opportunity, as a SKIP member you can attend national training events and network with fellow students around the country. Working on a branch committee is great fun as well as an ideal opportunity to develop skills and experiences essential for your CV.
If you are interested in applying to a branch committee, please contact the branch directly or email the National Volunteer Co-ordinator for more information.
